Introduction

We have introduced a Line of Business (LOB) feature, allowing applications to be categorized.  Generally the categories are Prime or Alternative.

Note: This is a tenant setting and it defaults to disabled. To enable it, please contact our Client Success Team.

Key Features

  • Deal Ingestion and LOB Selection:
    • When a relevant deal is ingested from the POS system, the LOB data is sent and mapped automatically to the appropriate field.
    • The LOB field can be found in the Application tab in the Loan Details widget. If needed, users can manually edit this field. It is a single-select field that allows users to choose between the options configured (Generally Prime and Alternative).

  • Product Selection Based on LOB:
    • Users can apply any product to the deal regardless of LOB.
    • Product filtering capabilities to assist users in selecting the appropriate product based on LOB

  • Migration & Default LOB Handling
    • Existing applications are not migrated to any LOB by default. They will remain as is (blank or with a LOB already populated).
    • New deals will populate with the payload from the POS.
  • LOB Change Tracking:
    • Updating the LOB field creates an entry in the application history log.

LOB Configuration in Manager Portal

  • The LOB options are configured by the FM development team. The current options are displayed in the Line of Business section of the Manager Portal.
  • Each LOB has the following attributes:
    • Name: This is a descriptive name for the LOB e.g., Alternative.
    • Line of Business ID: The External ID. This is mapped to POS data e.g., ALT.
  • By default, two options exist: Prime and Alternative, but more can be added if required.

  • To access the Manager Portal, and by extension the Line of Business section, users need the Manage System Configuration permission.

    Intellifi Mapping (Tenant Specific)

    • LOB mapping is required when submitting applications to Intellifi:
      • Prime LOB → "A"
      • Alternative LOB → "B"
      • When an Alternative investor (ALT) is selected, the system automatically maps LOB as "B" instead of "A" in the XML payload.

This enhancement ensures proper categorization and routing of applications based on business lines, streamlining underwriting and investor mapping.

Support for LOB at the Product Level

This update introduces Line of Business (LOB) support at the product level, ensuring that products are correctly classified and can be filtered based on LOB.

    Key Features:

    • LOB Selection in Product Configuration:
      • A single-select field for Line of Business has been added to the Summary tab of the Product Management section in Manager Portal.
      • Available options will include what has been configured for each lender.

    • Products must be correctly configured in the Manager Portal to reflect the appropriate LOB classification when filtering at the application level.

    • Product Filtering by LOB:
      • Users can apply any products to applications, regardless of the selected LOB.
      • When selecting products, the products list can be filtered based on the LOB, providing a better user experience.

        Add LOB to document context

The system now includes the Line of Business in the document context to support prime vs. alternative lending. The Lender Fee is correctly presented on the Commitment Letter when applicable.
